Guns N' Roses, California’s sensational hard rock and heavy metal artists are bringing their signature sounds to the BMO Harris Bradley Center!
Guns N' Roses (usually abbreviated as GnR) was formed in Los Angeles in 1985 by vocalist Axl Rose, rhythm guitarist Izzy Stradlin, lead guitarist Tracii Guns, bassist Ole Beich, and drummer Rob Gardner. After a few performances, Ole was fired and replaced by Duff McKagan while Tracii left after an argument with Axl and Slash took her place. It was long before Rob quit and was replaced by Steven Adler. With a musical style blending hard rock with heavy metal, they started to make a name for themselves on the Hollywood club scene and in March of 1986, they got a record deal with Geffen Records (the label that had also signed The Stone Roses, Whitesnake, Tesla, and Sonic Youth). The band’s been through many more line up changes over the years and it currently consists of Axl (lead vocals, piano, keyboards, synthesizers, percussion, and occasional backing vocals), Slash (lead and rhythm guitars, backing vocals), Duff (bass, backing vocals, and occasional lead vocals), Dizzy Reed (keyboards, piano, backing vocals, and percussion), Richard Fortus (rhythm and lead guitars, backing vocals), Frank Ferrer (drums and percussion), Melissa Reese (synthesizers, keyboards, backing vocals, sub-bass, and programming). They’ve had a stellar career with 6 studio albums and they’ve received many accolades including 4 American Music Awards and 3 Grammy Award nominations.
